Not all hybrids are as evidenced by the reveal of the Lexus LF-CC Concept. The two-door hybrid concept is slated to make its official debut at the Paris Motor Show this month, but Toyota decided to pull back the covers a little early for an online preview.
The new concept looks very similar to the LF-LC, which debuted in Detroit back in January. However, the new concept looks a little closer to being production-ready, which makes us wonder if a new sports coupe will finally grace the Lexus lineup and add even more excitement to the brand.
Triple LED headlights and huge air intakes further enhance the aggressive fascia, but it also possesses the latest Lexus styling cues that have made their way on to recent redesigned models, including the ES and GS sedans.
Under the hood, the LF-CC features a new 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain, one that Lexus says will be used throughout its model lineup in the future, with various technologies to further reduce fuel consumption.
Whether the Lexus LF-CC Concept is a forebear to an entirely new model or not, it’s most likely going to be the inspiration for the next-generation IS. Stay tuned for more details following the coupe’s official introduction in Paris.
