Visually, the UFC looks like a mix between a minivan and a small crossover. It has a long wheelbase and short overhangs to free up as much interior space as possible and it sits taller than most minivans in order to cope with its home country's poorly-paved roads. The UFC is similar to the recently-unveiled Ford B-Max in that it has sliding rear doors and no B-pillars to make entering and exiting the vehicle as painless as possible. The van offers three rows of seats that can accomodate up to six adults, though the seats can be moved around or taken out entirely if needed. The center console has been replaced with a big vertical touch-screen, giving the UFC the most modern dashboard that has ever been fitted in a Daihatsu product. The UFC displayed on the Daihatsu stand in Jakarta is not functional and the company did not mention what drivetrain the car was designed to be powered by. Daihatsu's portfolio includes a wide range of both gasoline- and diesel-burning engines. Although it is not likely to be given the green light for production as-is, the UFC likely signals the styling direction that Daihatsu will take over the next decade. Source: Leftlanenews
