This is the first technical facility of M&M in USA and will benefit the state’s automotive sector in offering its own designing ideas and consultation services.

 
The facility will render its services for M&M’s customers based in the state along with giving support to Mahindra’s automotive and tractor engineering demands in India. At first the unit will recruit around 25 engineers to work for the brand and later the number will be doubled as per requirements.

 
Mahindra’s all-new Technical Center in Michigan was officially inaugurated by Rajan Wadhera, Chief Executive —Technology, Product Development and Sourcing, Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors, Mahindra Group, India along with the esteemed presence of Micheal Finney, President & CEO, Michigan Economic Development Corporation; Janice Daniels, Mayor, City of Troy and Prashant Kamat, CEO, Mahindra Engineering, India.

 
Chief Executive, Rajan Wadhera shared, “Our new Technology Center is designed as a base for Mahindra with an aim to offer and address the rising engineering demands for our auto & farm engineering requirements along with our Global Development Center based in home country. This new center at Troy is a latest entrant into our ‘neural network’ of innovation that also consists of other units located in India, China, US and Korea.”

 
Prashant Kamat, CEO Mahindra Engineering stated, “It gives me immense pleasure to inaugurate our new Technical Center in one of the world’s leading automotive hubs. Being the first technical center in USA, it will offer impressive options to leverage local R&D talent to deliver creative solutions to customers in that region plus support M&M’s automotive and tractor engineering requirements in India.”
