The 2013 XTS has just recently arrived in showrooms, but already Cadillac is eager to crank out exciting new variants of its flagship sedan. These new models include a livery sedan, limousine, and even a hearse.
General Motors will be building the livery sedan entirely on its own and it will feature air-leveling rear suspension, heated rear seats, both side and rear window shades, and tri-zone climate control. The sedan will be the obvious choice for luxury chauffeured business travel. Standard features on the XTS Livery Sedan inlcude:
300 hp, 17 mpg/city, 28 mpg/hwy
Cadillac User Experience (CUE) infotainment and entertainment system
Magnetic Ride Control suspension
Air-leveling rear suspension
Improved turning circle over former Cadillac livery sedan
HID headlamps

Rear center console
Capless fuel tank filler
Rear vision camera and obstacle detection
18 cubic feet of trunk space
3-year/150,000-mile Professional Vehicle Protection Plan extended warranty2
4-year/50,000-mile Premium Care Maintenance Plan2
One year OnStar service
The limo and hearse are co-developed with selected aftermarket companies, which perform the work based on GM direction and specs. Features for these two models were not exposed in detail by GM. However, Cadillac spokesperson David Caldwell did say that he vehicles will be built by only a small group of authorized companies to ensure quality.
With the all-new XTS, Cadillac is clearly looking to dethrone the Lincoln Town Car, which has long been the market leader in the livery market. As such, the XTS livery is more than just a black stock XTS says Caldwell. “[Cadillac] is offering the Livery Package with a bit more luxury inside than standard XTS models… which honestly will limit the volume quite a bit, but is the right approach for how we wish to present the brand.”
