Success is in for Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) as the Japanese auto giant recorded a progressive growth in its domestic sales with total 3574 units sold during September 2012 as against to 2176 units sold in a year ago period.
Nissan’s two very popular products – hatchback Micra and sedan Sunny has made it possible for the brand to experience such good response from the country. Both the model’s cumulative sales stood at 3567 units in September. While rest of the sales count was retrieved from luxury sedan Teana, SUV X-Trail and cult sports car 370Z.
Not to forget we need to mention that the newly launched multi-utility vehicle (MUV) Evalia has commenced making its mark in the country with over 160 bookings after few days of launch. Nissan unveiled Evalia in the last week of September with starting price tag of Rs. 8.49 lakh. The model is now available in total four variants – the XE at Rs. 8.49 lakh, XE Plus at Rs. 8.92 lakh, XL at Rs. 9.49 lakh and the high-end variant XV at Rs. 9.99 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Mumbai.
