The Duster is so dashing that it now turns all the more dearer by Rs. 30K for the petrol version and Rs. 40K for the diesel option. Now the Renault Duster SUV stands costlier in the market as the French auto giant has proclaimed that it too has to counter the increase in raw material prices and unstable foreign exchange rates.
But customers who made the bookings up till August end will be eligible to get their SUV Duster at the earlier introductory price tag whereas all the booking made in September will boast a refreshed price cost. All-new SUV Duster is available in eight variants – two petrol and six diesel options.
Renault India Head, Marc Nassif expressed his views on price increase and said, “We unveiled the most anticipated SUV Duster with an attractive starting price and also the response from the customers has been extremely overwhelming. But rise in input costs, fluctuating currency rates are few of the reason why we need to take this step of price hike as these factors are beyond our control. Also we’ve tried our best to keep the hike to a minimal level as to ensure that our precious clients get the best value for money.”
Since the launch of Renault Duster, the SUV is gaining strong response with bookings crossed over 20,000 units. The same resulted in enhanced production capacity at company’s Chennai unit and the brand made it run in three shifts. Moreover, Renault is aggressively working on its expansion plans in India with an aim to take the current count of 70 dealerships to 100 by the end of this year.
