An as-yet unnamed investor is reportedly coming to Gumpert's rescue. But who is it, and will they resume production of the otherworldly Apollo supercar? Between Artega, Melkus, De Tomaso, Lola and Cosworth, we've been saddened to report on a number of small European sportscar and racecar manufacturing declaring bankruptcy lately. So it comes as good news that one such company appears to be back on the road to recovery. That automaker is Gumpert, the German producer of the Apollo supercar. The company went belly-up back in August, but reports from Europe now indicate that Gumpert has found a new buyer.
