With 1,600 horsepower on tap, a new "Super Veyron" could hit 60 in 1.8 seconds, a top speed of 288 mph and the Frankfurt show floor next year. When Bugatti released the Veyron in 2005, it shattered the world's conception of what an automobile could do. But Bugatti wasn't done, following up in 2010 with the Veyron SuperSport, upping the output from the quad-turbo W16 engine from 987 horsepower to 1,200 and optimizing the aerodynamics to drive the top speed up from 253.8 mph to 267.8 (limited to "only" 258 in the customer version). But if the latest report from Automobile magazine proves accurate, Bugatti isn't satisfied leaving the Veyron's development there. Source: Carbuzz
