Two longtime Australian rivals are both set to meet their end by 2016 due to poor sales and expensive gasoline. Is this the end of an era? Like us in the USA, Australians their love rear-wheel-drive muscle cars. Or at least, they used to. According to a new Motor Trend report that originated from an Australian source, the large V8-powered RWD Holden Commodore and Ford Falcon aren't selling very well anymore. In fact, they're now selling at record low numbers. So it should come as no surprise to hear that both GM and Ford have made it clear that their respective sedans will be discontinued outright by 2016.
