Although Toyota is calling the FT86 Opena concept, the car spotted earlier today, which can be seen at CarMag, looks very production ready. Whether it comes with a soft top or a retractable hard top is not currently known, though rumors indicate that Toyota has picked the first option in order to save as much weight as possible. The FT86 is powered by the same 2.0-liter flat-four engine that lurks under the hood of the coupe. Linked to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic, it sends 200 horsepower and 151 lb-ft. of torque to the rear wheels. After debuting in Geneva as a thinly-masked concept, the FT86 Open will be added to the Toyota lineup as a regular production model before the end of the year. It will be sold under the Scion banner in the U.S. Subaru has not indicated whether it will follow suit and the chop the top off of the BRZ. /* @Himanshu 09-01-2013
