French rally and freestyle skiing champ combines his two passions with one gravity-defying stunt that gives snowboarders something to gawk at. Recognize the name Guerlain Chicherit? If youre a regular reader here at CarBuzz, you may recall when he executed a 360-degree backflip in a Mini Countryman in a shipping yard. Well now hes back, only this time hes in the snow. The stunt put Chicherit in a rally-spec Countryman (similar to the machines campaigned in the WRC and the Dakar Rally) at the French ski resort of Tignes. He drove up a ramp (similar to a cross-section of a snowboard half-pipe), flipped nose over tail and landed back on all four in the snow. As a four-time freestyle skiing champion, double French rally champ and veteran Mini rally driver, Chicherit was the perfect man for the job. The feat secures his status as the first to perform an unassisted backflip in an automobile after previous attempts used moving ramps. Source: Carbuzz
