Country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki is again on the spree to take back its glowing position, which was somewhat deteriorated by labour unrest along with around one month lockout caused in the factory corridors of Manesar plant of the auto group. As of now, production of all models has been started and company is prepared to return to normal operations by the middle of this month.
Manesar plant produces company’s well-liked models Swift and DZire along with SX4 and A-Star and is presently rolling out about 800-1,000 units a day against the usual production of 1,500- 1,700 units a day, before the violence broke out in factory. At the time of lifting of lockout on August 21, company had plans to produce 150 units per day, so witnessing this admirable figures, it can surely be said that Maruti will soon come back to regular operations.
When asked about the necessary steps to be taken for preventing that hullaballoo to be ensued again, company officials said that an internal assessment is being carried out by the company and besides this, Maruti would also like to analysis the report of special investigation team formed for this purpose by the Haryana government. Moreover it is also heard that by next week, company will work on few counter measures to avert such things in future.
