Hennessey has taken the 0-300kph record off Koenigsegg, with the Venom GT clocking the time in 13.63 seconds. Everyone knows the 1,244 horsepower 7.0-liter twin-turbo V8 powered Hennessey Venom GT is one of the fastest cars on the planet. And now the Texan-based carmaker has some hard proof to back it up. Drive's Matt Farah reports the Venom GT has just smashed the 0-300 kph (186 mph) world record at 13.63 seconds, a feat that has been officially ratified by Guinness. To put that in perspective, the Veyron takes a good three seconds longer to get up to that speed and beats the previous record, held by the Koenigsegg Agera R, by 0.9 secs.
