1st 2013 SRT Viper Delivered in Detroit - HQ Cars Wallpapers

After a comprehensive renovation and retooling, Conner Avenue - the home of the Viper - has reopened, delivering the first new SRT supercar to its owner. Last year Scott Thomas of Oklahoma City placed the winning bid of $300,000 at the Barrett-Jackson auction for the privilege of owning the first new 2013 SRT Viper to roll off the assembly line. And now he's received it. The occasion - marked with a ceremony attended by Chrysler chairman Sergio Marchionne and SRT chief Ralph Gilles - marked the very first new Viper to be built at the re-opened Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit that has long been the home of the Viper. Conner had shut down in the summer of 2010 after the last of the previous Dodge Vipers was built, and has sat virtually mothballed since. But before the new Viper could begin assembly, the 400,000-square-foot factory was comprehensively updated, incorporating sister-company Fiat's World Class Manufacturing production system.
