Hartge has not only increased the power output of the BMW M5 but it's also removed that pesky speed limiter. German tuning firm Hartge has been responsible for some of the most powerfully-tuned BMWs on the planet. And now it has released details on its tuning program for the ultimate sports sedan, the M5. The most vital upgrade in the package is the engine remap and the removal of the speed limiter. The 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 now produces 642 horsepower and 597 lb-ft of torque, which is an increase of 82 hp and 96 lb-ft. Because of this, the car can now go from 0 to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds and has a top speed of 190 mph. Source: Carbuzz
