To sweeten Focus Electric lease deals, the blue oval is offering $10,750 cash back on a 36-month lease. Monthly payments total just $285, with $930 due at signing and a 10,500-mile annual cap. Those interested in buying the electrified Focus outright will benefit from a $2,000 cash discount that brings the price down to $37,995. Ford is also offering 1.9-percent financing if the EV is purchased through Ford Motor Credit. The news comes less than two weeks after Nissan effectively trimmed $6,000 from the bottom line of its Leaf EV by adding a new, decontented entry-level trim level. "We certainly are not in a situation where we have to completely discount,, but we do have to respond to competitive pressures," Ford spokesman Wes Sherwood told The Detroit News. "We're not anywhere close to where Nissan has gone with the Leaf." /* @Himanshu 09-01-2013
