Lexus to debut IS Sport Cross hatchback in Detroit? - Automobile News

Lexus will unveil the 2014 version of its IS sedan at next week's Detroit auto show, but the four-door IS might not be alone on the automaker's stand. Lexus hinted via its Facebook page that it might also display a new-age version of the IS Sport Cross at the North American International Auto Show.



"Do you remember the �02 IS 300 Sport Cross with its style, utility and performance? Will we bring it back? Watch the 2014 IS premiere on Facebook in 6 days to find out!," Lexus posted.

Although wagon enthusiasts would welcome back the IS Sport Cross with welcome arms, we're not so sure the general public would have the same response. During its four years on the market, Lexus managed to sell just 3,078 units of the cargo-friendly IS.
