Jaguar Land Rover posts improved October sales despite headwinds - Latest Cars Wallpapers

JLR's Land Rover division accounted for 22,166 of those October sales, marking an increase of 17 percent. All of Land Rover's model lines : including Evoque, Range Rover Sport, Discovery ( LR4), and Freelander ( LR2) : posted sale increases during the period.

So far this year Land Rover's global sales have increased 41 percent to 249,414 vehicles.

Jaguar managed just 3,010 vehicles sale last month : a decline of 24 percent : with the British automaker putting most of the blame on the effects of Superstorm Sandy in the U.S. and the impending launch of its 2013 model year vehicles.

Jaguar's yearly sales total currently stands at 44,877 units, an improvement of 8 percent over the same period a year earlier.

"During a very competitive year for premium car sales, and in an increasingly uncertain economic environment, I am delighted to see strong demand for our products and that we are still performing well across all our key markets," said Phil Popham, Jaguar Land Rover's Director of Group Sales Operations.

JLR has recorded 294,291 deliveries through the first 10 months of 2012, an increase of 35 percent.
