ATS Launches Sport 1000 Racer - Super Cars News

The reborn Italian car brand presents its new Sport 1000 model. Last month we reported on Italian sportscar-maker Automobili Turismo e Sport (ATS) staging a comeback after a fifty year hiatus. The reborn automaker will reinvent the old 2500 GT and develop a track-focused, street-legal Sport 1000 model powered by a motorcycle engine. With the Sport 1000, ATS is aiming to recreate the feel of a 1960s racing sports car using modern technology, aerodynamics and performance - while keeping an eye on Radical. The chassis is made of stainless steel, paneled in aluminum and weighs in at just 55kg.
