Velocity Veloster Bound for SEMA - Latest Cars News

Sporting a Cosworth-tuned engine and track-focused features, the Velocity is a representation of a Veloster taken to the extreme. Hyundai revealed a pair of tuned Veloster concepts over the past couple of days, but they weren't bound for SEMA as you'd expect. They were showcased at the Australian International Motor Show. But don't think that Hyundai, which has quickly emerged as a tuner favorite, won't be at the Vegas aftermarket expo in full force. In addition to the Cosworth-tuned Genesis coupe it will be displaying at SEMA, the Korean automaker will also present the Veloster Velocity concept. Packing 400 horsepower, the 1.6-liter turbo four in the Velocity Veloster was also tuned by Cosworth, which installed new pistons and rods, upgraded turbocharger, intercooler, intake manifold and fuel and engine management systems. Hyundai's own California design and engineering divisions then added some mods of their own.
