Maruti Suzuki India seems much deliberated in offering satisfaction to its customers. And that’s why, auto group is working to fix out the problem of poor braking in its popular hatchback Swift, though technical recall of the car has been denied for now. New Maruti Swift, since its introduction in August 2011 is doing well but customers throughout the country have been complaining for soft braking at low speed of 10-15 km/hr, leading to safety perils on the road.
As per reports, from July, this year, SIAM had issued a voluntary code of conduct by which automakers have to recall defected vehicles, if they are intimated for the same. Though Maruti asked selected customers to get their cars checked and rectify the software to sort out any problem, they are facing, but the auto group has denied terming it recall, claiming that there has not been any safety issue for the suspected brake problem in Swift.
This is the second time, when Swift is being recalled. Earlier 1.09 lakh Swift hatchbacks were called back because of petrol leakage defect in the car. Coming back to the current issue, at low speeds, Swift brake pedal inclines to get hard on continual braking that is needed in congested city traffic and driver’s feel loss in braking performance.
