People in India love small cars and if a particular model is from the stable of largest and popular carmaker Maruti Suzuki, then the deal seems much brighter and substantial. So is the new offering from the leading auto giant Maruti that will soon unveil its much awaited small car Alto 800 in the country in this festive season.
The automaker has already opened the bookings for the same across its dealerships in the country while the deliveries will begin only in mid festival time. With booking advertisements of Alto 800 all over the place, this strategic move from the automaker is a part of the deal and the same will carry on till the festive season.
Maruti Suzuki is quite positive about its new offering and is betting big with the model, expecting to counter large number of pre-bookings from prospective customers. Surely these booking will be delivered by the automaker soon before Diwali arrives as the launch of Alto 800 is expected to happen on 16th October 2012.
Directly challenging the likes of Eon from Hyundai, the key rival of Maruti in the Indian auto market, the Alto 800 is likely to be a sure shot winner as it is crafted on the tried-and-tested Alto platform. The new small car is coming with both the fuel options – petrol and CNG-petrol.
Maruti will be launching the car with same three-cylinder, 796cc petrol engine in total six variants; three for each fuel options. Although the power is enhanced as the engine will now produce peak torque of 69Nm. What’s more exciting is the fuel economy of Alto 800, as the brand claims to offer the vehicle with ARAI certified 22.74kmpl mileage.
The entire auto industry along with potential customers, all are intensely waiting for the price structure of the new car. Let’s just wait and watch, in what price bracket Maruti Suzuki places it’s yet another scintillating small car – the Alto800.
