As sales of small crossovers are heating up across the globe, Cadillac has decided to try to capitalize on the segment's momentum by developing a new, sub-SRX luxury CUV. The automaker is currently "working hard" on the new crossover and is bullish about its prospects, Cadillac global vice president Bob Ferguson revealed to Automotive News. "If you're thinking: 'OK, I've really got to grow this business in China, and I need the right vehicle for western Europe,' I think you get even more enthusiastic about the idea," Ferguson said. While Ferguson did tell AN that the small crossover will be "a little younger and a little more urban" than the SRX, few other details are currently known about the small model : including whether it will be offered in the U.S. It's possible that the General may wait to see how its other small luxury SUV, the Buick Encore, fares before making a decision on the Cadillac. /* @Himanshu 09-01-2013
