2014 Chevy SS Could Pack ZL1's V8 - Latest Cars News

It's like this: Chevy's updated version of the defunct Pontiac G8 only with the Camaro ZL1's 580-horse V8 under the hood. How could we refuse? Formerly known as the Pontiac G8, it's been confirmed for a while now that General Motors will in fact be bringing back to the US the Holden-developed Zeta platform (whose platform also underpins the Camaro) in sedan form as the new Chevrolet SS. After Pontiac shut its doors in 2010 and with it the V8-powered, rear-wheel-drive G8 sedan, many assumed that GM's return to building a true sports sedan the muscle to back it up was a short-lived thing, but this development gives purists new hope.
