In spite of its ultra low resolution, the leaked image clearly shows a car equipped with sleek headlights and a very wide grille, two design features which match up with spy shots of the yet-unnamed supercar. This all but confirms that the image above is the real deal. What we know so far. Ferrari is keeping its lips tightly sealed about its next supercar but a photo published in Ferrari's official magazine confirms that it will be powered by a mid-mounted V12 engine linked to a Formula 1-derived Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) system. The drivetrain is expected to make a total of about 920 horsepower and enable the car to operate on electricity alone for a couple of miles, reducing its CO2 emissions to acceptable levels. If the rumors are to believed, the hybrid drivetrain will propel the supercar from zero to 62 mph in under 2.5 seconds, beating Bugatti's acclaimed Veyron. Its top speed will be electronically limited to 250 mph. The upcoming supercar will be about 20 percent lighter than its predecessor thanks to the use of a carbon fiber body that will sit on a carbon composite chassis. The weight shed will increase the car's performance and help reduce its fuel consumption. The Prancing Horse's next supercar will be unveiled to an elite group of customers early next year and it will likely make its public debut at next March's Geneva Motor Show. div.post-content1 ul li { list-style:disc !important; margin-left:20px; color:#000000; } div.post-content1 ol li { list-style-type: decimal !important; margin-left:20px; color:#000000; } #editorial_graph ul li { list-style:none !important; margin-left:0px; } Source: Leftlanenews
