Germany seems intent on flooding the American market with diesel as BMW steps up to the oil-drenched plate. Short of pickups and full-size utility vans, there arent a lot of diesel vehicles available in the US. But the vast majority of those oil-burners sold Stateside come from the Germans: Volkswagen, Audi and Mercedes all offer diesel models. Even Porsche can hook you up with a diesel Cayenne. BMW has been limited largely to the X5, but is launching a new diesel offensive from its US dealerships. BMW unveiled the 328d in New York last week, but thats only the first in what it's calling "the next wave of BMW Advanced Diesel models in the US". Source: Carbuzz
