When it hits the market early next year, the XFR-S will go head-to-head with vehicles like the BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. Like the XKR-S, the X FR-S is powered by a 550 horsepower, 502 lb-ft of torque version of Jaguar's supercharged 5.0L V8. The regular XFR makes use of Jaguar's 510 horsepower, 470 lb-ft of torque supercharged V8 engine. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels, while a recalibrated stability control system and active rear differential let buyers make the most of the available power. Those power improvements should put the XFR-S on even ground with the M5 and E63. BMW's latest M5 boasts 560 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque while Merc's E63 AMG model develops 518 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Jaguar says that the XFR-S will hit 60 mph from a complete stop in just 4.4 seconds before topping out at an electronically-limited 186 mph. Stylistically, the XFR-S gains its own body kit and unique 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in unique Pirelli rubber. Five exterior colors will be available outside. Inside, carbon print leather trim and dark aluminum accents set off a sufficiently sporty vibe. All XFR-Ss will be clad primarily in Warm Charcoal leather, but piping and stitching choices include red, blue and ivory. Pricing for the new super sedan has not been announced. div.post-content1 ul li { list-style:disc !important; margin-left:20px; color:#000000; } div.post-content1 ol li { list-style-type: decimal !important; margin-left:20px; color:#000000; } #editorial_graph ul li { list-style:none !important; margin-left:0px; } Source: Leftlanenews
