The Porsche 911 GT3 packs 435 horsepower. 9ff modified it to 1,381 hp, taking it up to a top speed of 272 mph and unveiling the result at the Essen Motor Show. There are lots of companies out there tuning Porsches, but few of them perform quite the extensive transformation that 9ff does with its GT9. When it debuted in 2008, the GT9 emerged as a highly-modified 911 GT3 with a mid-mounted flat-six bored out to 4.2 and fitted with twin turbochargers. The 987 horsepower that resulted propelled the GT9 to an insane top speed of 253 mph. But speed freaks like the engineers at 9ff are never satisfied with "too fast", so they came back in 2009 with the 1,120hp GT9-R that hit 257 mph. Now 9ff is at it again with the GT9 Vmax. Debuting this week at the Essen Motor Show, the GT9 Vmax is (as you may have guessed from the name) geared for top speed runs. It has now been tuned up to 1,381 horsepower for a top speed quoted at 272 mph. (Yes, you read that right: 272 mph.) Source: Carbuzz
