In production since 2004, Lamborghini has confirmed that the Gallardo's lifecycle will come to a conclusion with the 2013 model year. Lamborghini is marking the occasion with a new video and Web site, appropriately located at www.TheFinalGallardo.com.

"It's been a crazy beautiful ride for the past decade," Lamborghini wrote on the site. "One we've all enjoyed. And now the last Gallardo is here, the final masterpiece of the collection."

The 2013 Gallardo sports some subtle updates, but the new model, which could bow under the Huracan nameplate, is expected to arrive with all-new duds. We've heard the term "revolutionary" thrown around to describe the Gallardo successor's styling, indicating we can expect a radical design like that used on Lamborghini's range-topping Aventador.

The Gallardo's naturally aspirated V10 will likely carryover to the new model, but the manual gearbox won't be so lucky. The Gallardo replacement will be available exclusively with a dual-clutch semi-automatic gearbox.

Look for Lamborghini to unveil its Gallardo successor sometime during the second half of 2013.
