Schömer reportedly purchased the rights to the Swallow name a couple of years ago with the intention of building a competitor to the ageless Morgan three-wheeler. With the help of his team, he penned an aerodynamic body that draws inspiration from the motorcycle sidecars that Swallow built in the 1930s.

The three-wheeler is designed to be powered by a Harley Davidson-sourced air-cooled V twin engine and Schömer says that, once completed, it can be sold through Harley dealers all around the world.

The entrepreneur has run out of time and interest and is selling the complete project. The lucky owner will take home the rights to the Swallow name and logo, the blueprints to the unnamed three-wheeler and all of the parts needed to assemble the first example.

With approximately seven days left until the digital hammer drops, the car company is available for the sum of £125,000, or about $ 200,000. Alternatively, Schömer is willing to trade for a vintage race car.

What's in a name?

Swallow Sidecar Company was founded in 1922 by William Lyons and William Walmsley and gradually started to build cars. As time went on, Lyons decided to shutter the sidecar division and focus exclusively on building four-wheelers under the name Standard Swallow, which was often abbreviated as S.S. For obvious reasons, Lyons could not continue to use the S.S. initials after the end of World War II so he renamed the company Jaguar Cars Limited. The rest, as they say, is history.
