New world record of 208.6 mph set on the ice of the Gulf of Bothnia, Finland. The new world record for the fastest car on ice has been set by a Nokian Tyres Audi RS6, beating its previous record with an average speed of 208.6 mph. Janne �Iceman� Laitinen piloted the RS6 on a 12 km ice track in the Gulf of Bothnia in Oulu, Finland, with the car wearing Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8 studded tires, designed for driving on uneven ice and winter roads at high speeds.
