Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd is known for manufacturing compact electric cars and now once again the fully owned subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra is ready to launch its all-new four-seater electric vehicle, the E2O by the end of next month.
The auto giant has christened the new model and now instead of Reva NXR it is being addressed as ‘E2O’ as per Mahindra’s style of naming all its cars that ends with alphabet ‘o’, such as Scorpio, Xylo, Quanto, Verito, etc. Mahindra’s E2O is the very first product that is assembled at company’s newly set up friendly facility in Bangalore.
Reva E2O is equipped with 48-volt, 29kw electric motor, which is capable enough of churning out peak power of 39.4bhp along with a fine fuel economy. Also company may further plan to launch the costlier variant of the same model that will be powered by a lead-acid battery, however there are no such plans yet. The new model is now much more spacious, powerful and trendy.
The new Reva E2O is expected to stand in a sub price category of Rs. 6 lakh. This is a correct time to launch an electric car as country is seeking alternate as well as cheaper fuel options apart from petrol, diesel and CNG.

SEMA show car reveals the tuning house�s upcoming Stage 3 Mustang package. Roush Performance, in collaboration with Ford Racing and Sherwin-Williams Automotive Paints, created this stunning 700-horsepower Roush Stage 3 Mustang just in time for an appearance at the 2012 SEMA Show. At its hearts is an engine package consisting of a Ford Racing Aluminator Engine and Roush Phase 3 Supercharger Kit rated at 700 hp and 585 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful Mustang Roush has ever produced.

Developed specifically for the Japanese Domestic Market, Honda has reached back into its archives with the neo-retro N-One city car. Automakers near and far are reaching back to their roots. Mini has made that its raison-d'etre, Fiat has rebuilt itself around the 500, Citroen has relaunched the DS line, Land Rover has a new Defender on the way... the list goes on and on, outlining a picture of an industry reacquainting itself with the models that put them on the map. The latest is Honda, which has just launched the N-One. Tracing its roots to the 1967 Honda N360 that was its first mass-produced car, the N-One was specifically developed for the Japanese Domestic Market.

Japanese hot-hatch gets some German tuning. Erftstadt-based tuner MR Car Design has put a new spin on the Mazdaspeed3. Branded MPS (Mazda Performance Series) in Europe, the front-drive hot-hatch has been augmented with more power, new wheels and a racing-inspired received a substantial upgrade in power along with some new wheels and racing-inspired decals. Marcel Reil's crew has upgraded the 2.3-liter engine with a turbocharger and new hoses, Forge intercooler and new exhaust system. The German outfit says that output has increased from 260 horsepower to an impressive 310 horses.

Audi has introduced Black Edition variants of the A6 Saloon & Avant and A7 Sportback, exclusively to the UK market. In order to tempt buyers into its UK showrooms, Audi has introduced special edition models for the S Line A6 Sedan, A6 Avant and A7 Sportback, dubbing them 'Black Editions.' Available to order this month, the trio of Black Edition vehicles have been given black styling packages, privacy glass, rotor-design alloys with a dark titanium finish (20-inch diameter in the A6 models, 21-inch diameter in the A7 Sportback), and a Bose sound system.

Want to sit on the center line in your Porsche? It's do-able, but it ain't easy. When one thinks of sportscars with a central seating position, the McLaren F1 comes to mind. Ferrari did a prototype 365P back in 1967 with a similar arragement. But a Porsche 911? That's a car with four seats, maybe two, and you can get it with the wheel on the left side for "normal" markets or on the right for those backwards ones, but one retrofitted Carrera S Cabriolet was spotted recently at the 2012 Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta with the driver's seat, steering wheel and everything else you'd expect to find on one side or another moved to the center. Dubbed the Centro 911, the 997-era cabrio was modified by a company in Florida and took about a year to complete. It doesn't have a pair of passenger seats flanking the driver like in the McLaren F1 or Ferrari 365P, ditching its 2+2 setup for just the one seat. Italian designers recreate the Giulia Sprint GT penned by Bertone with a modern twist. Automotive stylists love to reimagine the Alfa Romeo, and Italian designers Michele Di Mauro and Claudio Piccioli, proprietors of the GetShapped Studio, are no exception focusing on the Bertone-penned Giulia Sprint GT for their latest concept creation. Dubbed the Alfa Romeo Giulia 50GT Concept, the two studies are of a GT-orientated model (red) and a sportier version (grey), both of which are faithful to the original keeping its large circular headlights, oversized front 'shield' and hood air vent.

If you were a citizen of the former East Germany, this would likely had been your daily driver. Isn't Communism grand? So picture this, if you can: it's the height of the Cold War and you're a resident of the ever so lovely German Democratic Republic. If you're political terminology isn't up to par, that was the name of the Communist East Germany following the country's division after World War II. In simpler words, the situation for its citizens sucked. Everything from economics to their cars was shameful when compared to West Germany. Oh yeah, the secret Soviet-backed police called the STASI were jerks too, to say the least.

Tesla's chief designer Franz von Holzhausen gives Jay the low down on the all-American electric sedan. For all the automotive wealth Jay Leno has at his disposal, it's the Chevy Volt that he uses for his daily commute. But after spending some time with the Tesla Model S, the Denim Chin thinks it could be time for an upgrade. There is plenty to like about the new all-electric sedan: it's easy on the eye, has enough space for a family of seven, can deliver a range of up to 300 miles, and due to the unique chassis layout, with battery cells forming the car's floor, the Tesla Model S has a very low center of gravity to the benefit of its handling. Its curb weight of just over 2,000kg is masked by a fully pneumatic suspension, and when it comes to performance the sedan manages 0-60 in under 4.4 seconds - proper performance sedan territory.

The supercharged Jag super-coupe has been given the chrome wrap treatment. Even though Jaguar built just a few hundred units of the 2012 XKR-S, for Florida-based Superior Auto Design the car remains insufficiently exclusive, hence its decision to give it a chrome and matt black vinyl wrap. Being a wrap means when the chrome fad passes, it can be easily removed from the car, exposing its original white paintjob. The Jaguar XKR-S is the fastest XK model ever built with its 5.0-liter supercharged V8 enabling the Jag to sprint from 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds.

Jakarta's own tuning firm gives the Audi R8 a series of enhancements. The South Pacific market has gorwn increasingly important for supercar manfuacturers, and along with them, aftermarket tuning shops have emerged in the region to cater to the local market. Concept Motorsports Indonesia is one such tuning firm, and its latest project is based on the Audi R8. The Jakarta-based tuner has fitted the German sportscar with a KW Variant 3 coilover suspension, Quicksilver exhaust and 20" Vorsteiner VS-310 wheels that together take Audi's flagship even further.

The most successful production-based drag racer has been improved with EcoBoost technology. Ford has a large presence at this year's SEMA Show and the latest model to be unveiled by the Blue Oval is a concept drag racer based on the Mustang. The Ford Racing Mustang Cobra Jet has the most successful production-based dragster on the strip since 2008, and forms the basis of this twin-turbo concept version. The new Cobra Jet concept highlights the success of Ford's EcoBoost engines that seek to prove, contrary to the idiom, that there is a replacement for displacement. The turn-key dragster concept ditches its power-sapping supercharger for a twin-turbocharged 5.0-liter V8. Ford is remaining mum on power figures, however the automaker has announced that the roughly 3,000-lb Cobra Jet Concept should run the quarter mile in the high eight-second range at over 150mph.

This is what happens when a hot rod enthusiast gets their hands on a basic 1950s commuter car. Nash Metropolitans and hot rods aren't really known for having much to do with one another. Their similarities usually start and finish with the fact they're both cars and that's about it. As we can see here with this small-block V8-powered 1961 Metropolitan, it's apparent that this is not strictly the case. But before we get to its dirty resume of upgrades, a little background historical information on the base car itself is required.

Ever notice those big brackets that hold a crane truck in place? This is why they're there. A terrible tragedy has befallen the sleepy Belgian village of Gits, where a 60-ton crane tipped over into the lot of B&D Automobiles, crushing a Jaguar XKR-S and a BMW 6 Series coupe that could now be a convertible. (As if there weren't enough carnage from Hurricane Sandy.) The crane, meant to lift a fuel tank for a nearby gasoline station, was apparently parked on loose soil. Two of the crane's supported legs sunk into the ground, leading to the crane falling on its side and on top of the two pricey GTs. Thankfully no one (aside from the cars) was hurt.

The iconic Porsche 917 Le Mans race car and its driver come together again for an exclusive and special event. The Classics at the Castle Porsche Festival is one place we all want to be for plenty of good reasons. One of those is this 917 Le Mans racer which gave the German automaker its first outright win at the classic 24 hour endurance race back in 1970. Number 23's driver, Richard Attwood, was also on hand at the beautiful Hedingham Castle's grounds, and in this latest video from Porsche, he reminisces about his historic win and how his old race car is still a familiar face to him after all these years. The iconic classic is powered by a 4.5-liter flat-12, the first engine of this type produced by Porsche. True to the automaker's form, it utilized advanced technology for its time with engine components constructed from titanium, magnesium and other lightweight alloys.

There aren't a lot of automakers still making V12s, but BMW is one of them, and has been doing so for a quarter-century now. There aren't a lot of automakers offering twelve-cylinder engines these days. Jaguar has long since abandoned its V12, the Maserati's latest twelve-pot (the MC12) has long since outlived its limited production run, and McLaren (whose F1 had a dozen pistons) has now called the twelve-pot a relic of history. The V12, then, is a bit of a rarity in an industry that is being driven towards smaller, more fuel-efficient engines. But a few automakers are still making them.

Traveling 200-plus mph in a car is something few will ever experience. Most people have never come close to going 200 mph in a car. There aren't many cars out there designed to safely do 200 mph. That being said, there are many supercars out there that easily top this mark. While you may never be able to ride in these supercars, you can get an idea of what it's like to be behind the wheel of one/watch one speed by when you check out all of the videos here. These clips feature everything from American muscle cars to Swedish supercars rocketing past 200 mph and are a must-watch for fans of speed. The Koenigsegg Agera R is an amazing machine. This clip shows the Swedish supercar making runs from 0-300-0 kph and 0-200-0 mph. The 0-200-0 mph run was made in an incredible 24.96 seconds. David Freiburger is a lucky man. The Hot Rod Magazine writer got to go 202.67 mph in the Ligenfelter Performance Engineering Camaro ZL1. Some guys get all the luck. This short clips shows the 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 running at 200 mph on Italy's Nardo Ring. In addition to pushing the 'Stang to 200 mph, the Ford team also tested the muscle car's braking capabilities by performing full ABS stops. It may be hard to believe, but the 220.5 mph achieved by the Hennessey CTS-V in this video is not the car's actual top speed. The Texas-based tuner says that its Cadillac can hit 242 mph. The reason why it didn't hit 242 in this clip was because the driver ran out of road. Right... Not all runs of 200 mph-plus go as planned. Matt Hagan learned that the hard way when his funny car exploded during the NHRA 4-Wide National Qualifiers. Hagan's car was totaled, but he walked away uninjured.

The finest models at the SEMA show aren't made by automakers or aftermarket tuners. They're made of flesh and blood of the finest variety. The 2012 SEMA Show is in full swing, and while members of the public are denied entry to the event, there was no way of stopping us from sharing these images of the tasty show girls that have been catching the eye just as much as the latest street rods and custom exotics. Where the women at the stands of the Salon de l'Automobile in Paris typically exude grace and elegance, the sultry specimens at SEMA have been perfectly tuned to blend in with the outlandish eye candy of the four-wheeled variety. Comedian/ventriloquist Jeff Dunham teamed up with Mopar, SRT and Palmer�s Customs to create this "Project UltraViolet" Dodge Challenger SRT8. To celebrate its 75th anniversary, Mopar teamed up with comedian Jeff Dunham and Palmer's Customs of Camarillo to create a custom 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8. Dubbed "Project UltraViolet", the unique muscle-car has just been unveiled at the SEMA show in Las Vegas. "It's a major understatement to say that I've been looking forward to the SEMA show this year, as we've had an awesome time creating this one-of-a-kind Challenger," said Dunham.
